Heavens to Mergatroids

Tonight two big things happened here:

#1:  I labeled ALL my blog posts.  All 222. And now there is a label link on my blog.  That took a ridiculous amount of time.


#2: We rearranged the living room.  It looks awesome!    Pics to come.

Very Christmas- December 11th (a day late)

In 2010, I have Christmas Spirit. I don't know where it's been for the past few years. But it's here and it's Loud!

Last Monday, we got our tree. We had space limitations this year. Our tree had no choice but to be TALL and SKINNY.

Lou, Alli and Kate and I put it all together. Alli and Lou did the lights. Then we all started putting on the ornaments.

Here you can see the decorated doorway and the stockings hung by the chimney with care.

Our tree was SO tall that there wasn't enough space to put the star on the top. So we got creative with some lights and some snowflake ornaments.

In Love with Fall...

I'm in Love!

With a season....

This is my favorite tree at school... when the leaves fall off, I let my students play in them.

This is a tree in my next door neighbor's yard. All those gorgeous leaves will be in my yard soon...

Dirt on the nose means she was digging a hole in my yard somewhere... grrr...

She is so pretty. Also, look at the leaves that fell WHILE I was raking... sigh... : )

We Love Fall over here. And it's been the most gorgeous Fall in years... the leaves are really hanging on!

I'm a Planner

Me: "I think I'm going to start playing the lottery..."

William: (weird face at me) "You're supposed to do that compulsively."

Can't help it, I'm a planner.

Another great William (he's full of them today!) "I want to become a notary, just for the jokes. Notary humor."

Just a Friendly visit...

On Sunday night, my roommates and I found ourselves at Friendly's. This was an adventure, as it was about 25 minutes from our house. We were on a mission.

We perused the menu for awhile. Lou and I were both much more excited for dessert than actual food.

Mikey, however, was brave enough to order a hamburger with two grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns. Amazing. Sounds like Sunday food to me.

I didn't take a picture of the dessert we all had. But we ordered 4 Reese's pieces sundaes. And they were FANTASTIC.

Montague has Sprung...

Montague is in bloom... there were beautiful things all over the yard today...

The Squirrels of Narnia

Sooo in our house we had some roommates hearing some noises in the attic. I assumed it was some sort of bum or vagrant.

I assumed wrong.

We couldn't seem to figure out how to get up into the attic to look. None of our rooms had an access route through the ceiling. Then I remembered that I had a small door in my closet. I moved some things away from it and when it was opened-- it revealed a staircase! To the attic... to Narnia... to time travel?

Two of my roommates were brave enough to go up there and see what was making at that noise.

Yes, it was....
